CLIMATE

The flawless climate is ideal for everyone's needs, from late evening barbeques relaxing by the pool, to a stroll on the beach. The translation of 'Costa de la Luz' is the 'Coast of Light'. The name is rather significant as our region has more sunlight than any other part of Spain or even Europe to be precise, boasting an average of over 300 days of sunshine a year.

The summer months can be hot with daytime temperatures starting from mid 20s rising to 30C in the height of summer and a much welcomed breeze blowing in from the Atlantic to calm the intensity should you be sunning it by the sea.

The West Coast is also one of the only coastlines in Spain that has received the prestigious 'Blue Ribbon Award', which is only awarded to the cleanest beaches in the world.

During the peak of summer the sun will shine on the West Coast of Andalucia for approximately 12 hours per day and temperatures during the evening will drop to a warm 15C to 20C. Even during the winter months the Costa de la Luz receives a dedicated 7 hours of sunshine per day with daytime temperatures around 20C.
